Design review of 188.000 m3 outer tank. The site for the LNG Plant is located at Wickham Point on the Middle Point Peninsular, approximately 7 km from Darwin. It is understood that the site is surrounded by mangrove flats and salt flats but that the proposed location of the tank is nominally 9 to 13 m above sea level. The tank consists of an outer containment tank of 92 m inside diameter, with an inner storage tank of 90 m diameter having a net storage volume of 188,000 m3.

Royal Haskoning was involved in the design, supervision and project management of the remediation measures taken at the tank storage facility of Petroplus in Vlissingen. Royal Haskoning provided a working plan for the hot-spot soil remediation and the groundwater remediation. Furthermore was Royal Haskoning consulted for the tender assessment and supervision of both remediation measures. Validations reports were also provided by Royal Haskoning.
