Within Royal Haskoning we have extensive experience of dry bulk terminals, covering all stages of project development, including site selection, preparation, feasibility studies, appraisal, implementation, commissioning and operations as well as carrying out overall planning studies detailed design and construction supervision.

Depending on specific project requirements, multi-disciplinary project teams are formed to provide a full range of professional services.

An important consideration in the development of bulk terminals is in the mechanical and electrical services required for the cargo handling. Our mechanical and electrical engineers of the Division Industrial Installations have particular experience in the field of dry bulk handling.

Royal Haskoning therefore provides a complete one stop shop for the planning, design and construction supervision of dry bulk terminals.  This includes reception of ore by train or truck and storage at the port, reclaiming and conveyor systems to load the ore to ship, port berths and quays, ship handling and navigation.
